AnnaMontee are the names of the designer’s maternal and paternal grandmothers - Anna Lee Lott Washington and Montee Banes Williams. They were two stylish best friends from the South Side of Chicago. Each had a unique sense of style and fearless attitudes.
Their legacy of confidence, creativity and style lives on in the AnnaMontee brand.

Dr. Dionne C. Clemons, aka DionneCreates, is a mass communication and media relations scholar and former university professor.
With a lifelong dream of becoming a creative - a maker - a designer - she’s embarking on this new journey of becoming a handmade artisan. AnnaMontee is the first of what will be many creative projects she births.
DionneCreates is one of four Designers in Residence of the inaugural cohort of DESIGN PARK 3311, a community of creative entrepreneurs in Prince George’s County, Maryland’s emerging film and fashion industries, and serves on the Smithsonian Women’s Committee as Chair of the 2022 Craft2Wear.
